Winter 2009 Mini-Classes
Jewelry Design Series For All Ages
There are no prerequisites ...classes can be taken
individually or in any order. Sign up for all get a $10.00 discount. A Great
Mother/Daughter activity. The instructor, Gerry Florida, is a jewelry recycle artist
who uses the unsalvageable” to create jewelry which she describes
“paintings with beads”. She is represented by the Westmoreland Museum of
American Art in Westmoreland Country and Gallerie Chiz Shadyside where her
jewelry can be purchased in store and on line. www.galleriechiz.com. She teaches her art
locally with special interest in working with children, seniors, challenged

Cooking on a
Healthy Budget

Join Kate Romane of Flying Biscotti Catering, a division of
The Enrico Biscotti Company and you will learn how to buy fresh and local
ingredients, what is in season and what is not and how not to break your
wallet. All the while you will be nibbling preparations and sipping wine.

Indian Cooking

Come and cook with join Kiren Randhawa and together you will
prepare a delicious meal to share. The menu includes spicy lentil soup, heary
lentil soup with vegetables, plain paratha (bread) and Spiced Indian tea. Yum!

First TimeKnitting
in the Round
Monday Jan 19, 26 and Feb 2 7:00 to
8:30PM $30.
Cheryl Halloran will teach knitting in
the round as you make a pair of socks. This class is for someone who knows how
to knit and purl and wants to try something different and not too hard.

Set of 5 double pointed needles; size 4

2 skeins Light weight yarn ( (3

1 Tapestry needle
